Why Purchase a Reed Switch with Your Display?
A reed switch is required in order for this display to work:

The KAL-D06 digital display operates with our mechanical meters through the use of a dry contact closure reed switch. The switches are simple SPST (single pole single throw) switch that closes when a magnet travels past it. The switches mount to the face of the meter or are inserted into a special port on them. There are a few different styles of switches for various meter types and it is important to select the correct one for your meter.

WM-NLC, and WM-PC water meters

These meters have a small magnet on one of the small dials on the face of the meter. There are pockets in the lens to make positioning the switch effortless and gaurantees the proper placement of the switch. The switch is held in place by a single small phillips head screw.

WM-PD water meters

These meters have a small magnet inside of the meter. There is an egg shaped depresion with a hole for the switch and a hole for a screw to make inserting the switch properly easy. The switch is held in place by a single small phillips head screw.

D10 water meters

These meters have a small magnet inside of the meter. There is a rectangular depression with hole for the switch and a hole for the plastic rivet pin to make inserting the switch properly easy. The switch is held in place by a single plastic rivet with a center pin to lock it in place.
