KOBOLD paddle type flow switches can be used wherever a simple and economical, yet reliable monitoring instrument is required for flow switching applications. The device operates as follows: The paddle is fitted to one end of a balance arm which is in direct contact with a pre-stressed leaf spring. At the other end of the balance arm is a permanent magnet. This magnet actuates a reed contact located within a moveable housing outside the media. The reed contact switches on or off depending on the position of the permanent magnet and the switch housing. The status of the switch may then be used to electrically control the fluid flow. The movable reed switch on the Kobold PSR/PS allows the contacts to be set either normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C).
This paddle switch is ideal for those looking for a solution to problems with boiler switches. Many instant hot water boilers have external flow switches that can get blocked too easily. The PSR is an ideal fix that will be durable and long lasting.

Although, I could not use it for my application. It is a very high quality machined item that surpassed my expectations. The Flow Switch, is actually aesthetically a work of art. Cheers to the engineers that designed this. I decided not to return the item, but keep it and find a use for it.
After trying a less expensive flow switch that FAILED to switch off when the flow stopped, I found this one and it works PERFECTLY because it can be adjusted for the flow trip points. This is a very well designed flow switch!

I was impressed with the quality of the flow switch. Would have given 5 stars but I did not read specs close enough. I needed a switch that would make and turn off at 2 GPM. Also when it would turn on it would not turn off.
The product is built very good, it was my fault for not understanding the GPM water flow spec clearly written on the web site. I should have known my own GPM water flow at my faucets at home before ordering. I wanted to turn on a hot water Laing circulator pump.
