Adding a Pulse Output and digital pulse counter greatly simplifies reading your water meter (meter must be pulse output ready). Not only does it make the actual reading of the meter easier, it eliminates the need to get to the meter which can often be difficult, unpleasant, or sometime impossible. In addition to that, some are available with reset, eliminating the need to have the last reading and perform the math.
