This water meter can be installed in line or at the end of a traditional garden hose. The electronic display provides data in large and easily read digits. It will provide a lifetime total as well as a resettable batch total (it DOES NOT give FLOW RATE. Look at the DM-P, A1, or TM meters for Flow Rate and Totals). Additionally, this meter is light and easy to manipulate. Two AAA batteries are all that's needed for a year of use and are replaced very easily. This low cost meter is ideal for numerous applications. For residential purposes there are many 'hose water meter' options, however many sacrifice quality for price. You may need to buy several just to span the life of this high quality meter.
