Product Description
This compact, digital counter is battery powered and makes meter reading extremely simple. Rather than having to read from the rollers, then add a digit from each small dial, this display does that work for you and provides a complete meter reading in a single number up to 8 digits (99,999,999). The battery is non-replaceable and will last for 10 years under normal operation conditions and environments.
The display features a reset button right below the digital readout. The reset button can be easily disabled by removing a small jumper on the side of the unit. An external reset can also be added to reset the meter from a different location.
The KAL-D06 is just the display. It is designed for panel mounting. The display enters through the front of the panel with an included gasket (if needed). It includes a clip to hold it fast to the panel from behind. If you want the display in a simple weatherproof enclosure, see the KAL-D06-NEMA.
DIMENSIONS:
Pulses from the meter can be read from up to 2000' (with additional wire not included. Thermostat wire is recommended - 22/2 2-wire 22 awg).
The display can be backlit with the addition of an external 5VDC power source (not included). Other voltages can be used with the addition of a proper resistor (see datasheet).
This pulse reader has 8 digit, 0.354" high LCD Display Digits. The non-replaceable, lithium battery can last 10 years (at 20° C) and can be operated from contact closure (like the reed switches used on our meters) or high speed electronic devices.
Wiring instructions are simple and included with product. For reed switches simply attach one wire to terminal #2 and one to #6. These Switches are not included. If you don't have a switch yet, you can order them here with the display as an accessory. Be sure to select the right switch for your meter!

KAL-D06-DUAL: two KAL-D06s with a NEMA 4 weatherproof box (customer must install).
KAL-D06-LOCK: a single KAL-D06 pre-installed in a NEMA 4 weatherproof box with the reset disabled/enabled by keyed switch.
KAL-D06-MULTI: a lockable NEMA 4 weatherproof cabinet with knockouts for holding up to 10 KAL-D06s.
